my manager consistently doesnt bookall of peoples extended overtime, hoping they will forget. is there a legal route to go on this

Mine too. I've been told they do this to ensure the budget balances, safeguarding their bonus payments.

Once you've wasted/explored that route the next step is to contact ACAS who will offer something called an early conciliation service, this is now a legal requirement before you can take the next step which is taking your employer to an Employment Tribunal*.

*Be careful of any time limits, Royal Mail do like to spin out the grievance procedure.

Get your DOMs email address, they've all got one. Send summary of what you did/claimed at the end of the week, then there's something to reference later on if any issues.

I thought you could take the matter to a small claims court? Or is that the same as employment tribunal?
