Cancelled lapsing today

Should have had double lapsing today but it was cancelled by management when it appeared the mail was nowhere near what was forecast for today and was way over .
Apparently todays figures were worked out 4 weeks ago............HOW ??
Needless to say everyone went over and the DOM was hiding the O/T sheet and anyone would have thought it was coming out of his pocket

If you're out late( most of office was today) regardless of there erm ,,,figures can you tell them you're not lapsing. The mail was,,,,a few hundred down in our whole office!

No double lapsing for us either despite management saying they were willing to pay overtime to get it done,being in an office with CSS machines and not getting the one batch till 8.15am( we start at 7) and getting a box of unsequenced mail on Saturday at 9am and being told just to take first class, it's not been a good couple of days on my sector in our office, saying that 3 of the other 4 sectors did double lapse .

Saying to my colleague the other day, the drop off in mail and packets in the summer is not like it used to be. We've been as busy as March/April or Sept/October.
