Hi, wondering where I stand on this.

Had to call in this morning due to an ongoing heart issue. Currently waiting on confirmation that I can attend hospital.

Anyway, lino is single manning. Called office phone, spent an hour trying to get through. No answer. Sent a text to managers phone. Called another member of staff to tell them.

Basically lino is saying I didn't call in and he'll take me down conduct code. If the idiot refuses to answer the phone what am I supposed to do?

Ask him politely to check his phone as you have proof you tried to make contact

Why was he out of contact for an hour?

Was it conference call?

Or does his network suffer bad reception

Some mobiles don't have a messaging service. Mine is a pay as you go and doesn't take spoken messages.

So he, and yourself, should have a call record on your phone as to trying his number. Just show him yours and ask to look at his.
