0-5 years= 4.5 weeks
5-15 years=4weeks 3.5 days
15-20 years =5weeks 1 day
20+ years = 6 weeks
so if ur on 23.5 hours you basic starting will be 4 weeks off at 23.5 hours plus half the number of days you attend which should add up to 11.75 hours (23.5/2)

What is supposed to be happening for 3 day PT staff, that work Mon/Tues/Sat every week, as regards paid bank holidays?

Legally, 3-day week staff are entitled to 3/5 of the annual bank holidays (as paid days off at Royal Mail). Normally there are 8 bank holidays a year, so that should be an entitlement of 60% of 8, as in 4.8 paid bank holidays.

Most years, only 4 bank holidays fall on Mondays. Every now and again, Xmas/Boxing/New Years Day bank holidays (including replacements) may fall on Mon/Tues/Sat.

So why are these PT staff not accruing 0.8 days (or rounded up to 1 day) of extra bank holiday credit on years where only 4 bank holidays fall on their scheduled work days?

The situation is much simpler for 4-day PT staff, they are legally entitled to the same full entitlement as 5-day FT staff. There is no "luck of the draw" as regards to working "odd" shift patterns like Wallington weeks, if your "week off" coincides with a bank holiday, you should get a day's credit on your annual leave.

... At least to my understanding! :cuppa

you should be getting the 1 day extra added to your leave, or requesting the pay for it(if the 4th lands on one of your rest days).if your not get your rep on it

0-5 years, I take it that should read 4 weeks 2.5 days, that's what it says in my contract anyway.

So a week is given as 5 days is that right? So 22.5 days total?

23.5 as a percentage of 39 = 60.25%

60.25% of 22.5 days = 13.5 days?

no it should read four and a half weeks, not everyone is on a five day week.
but if u work 1 day it would = 4.5days
but if u work 2 days per week it would=9days
but if u work 3 days per week it would=13.5days
but if u work 4 days per week it would=18days
but if u work 5 days per week it would=22.5days
