Uniform reordering woes

Post by datasaint »

Had my first pair of YDS shoes start of May. The front soles are now completely flat on them. Lino ordered new pair no problem 2 weeks ago. Within 4 days order was cancelled by some uniform jobsworth. Lino placed order again week ago, now it's sat with Dimensions waiting authorisation.

All the while I'm expected to go out on duty with unsafe/uncomfortable shoes. If a van has a bald or unsafe tyre it gets replaced no question. Why must ordering essential uniform be such a chore?

Refuse to go out, health & safety. Amazing how quickly those new shoes will arrive.

Your manager should be able to authorise it, unless it's changed now? I've been getting new cat trainers every 3 months or so, on my last pair now they've switched to the new ones though.

Authorising of uniform is done by some regional managers I think. Local management don't have any say AFAIK
