What are limit of knock ons ( packets, SD's,Recorded,Tracked ) Royal Mail expect you to deliver per duty ?? I've had different figures thrown at me from 20-26 knock ons per 500 drops ... is this true ?
I'm asking this because the other week when we wanted to cut off between are van share we had over a 100 knock ons and yet our individual performances still came into question

There are no limit of knock ons.
There is simply a finish time to your duty.

There must technically be a limit to the number possible in your duty span. For example, allowing 2 mins per knock and say 20 seconds to get from one delivery point to the next, then you could get through 115 of them if every call had to be knocked on during a 4.5hr delivery span.

That's just theoretical though, there is no actual limit to how many times you can be requested to knock on doors in a day, just how many hours you work.

HCT walks were supposed to be designed with upto 19 attendance calls per 500 delivery points, following delivery methods revisions, allegedly. No idea if same random figure was used for P&L walks.

I think the default setting in Geotoute was 19/500 delivery points.
A packet count is supposed to take place before the revision to establish a realistic figure.

thanks for responses ...I was just checking because we had our packets counted and they were found to be too many ??

we get told 25 per walk, but that doubles if your having to knock on neighbours
