Changes in weekly work schedule

Hello.

In my office, currently we work 5 days a week+sunday and other day during the week as day off.
Recently some work mates introduced an idea of working 6 days a week+ sunday day off and then every 6 weeks 1 week off
(as accumulated 5 days off over the period of 5 working weeks).
Because family and other commitments current arrangement works fine for me.
Could anyone explain: is such a change of working hours is possible without ALL employees acceptance?

Without knowing specific local details its impossible to give an answer, but in theory - Yes its possible.

Of course it depends on the outcome of a vote, how many duties there are, and how many want to go onto 1 in 6 or stay on 1 in 5. Its also possible that both attendance patterns can run together in the same office, but it is difficult to plan.

We were all on a rolling day off in my office but about half the office wanted rolling week off instead. So they split the sections and half the office have a rolling day off and the other half have a rolling week off. Its a bit more difficult to manage A/L cover, but other than that it works ok.

We have a mix of day off / week off , if you have six people who want the day off I see no reason why you can't
