PPI rant number 2.......

If you read my precious post on PPI being dropped at Post offices you'll know something about it! The situation isn't getting any better and more and more customers are dropping their PPi into local post offices in large amounts, some because they can't get a collection and some with residue after they've already had a collection! It really is getting to a breaking point especially if you're a collections driver in a built up business area, when asked most of the customers dropping this stuff off have been told it's ok to do so by customer services but unfortunately customer services don't see the amounts we have to handle and how much in quantity these people are dropping off!

Besides that there is the issue of who is responsible for the bag weights? I've had several occasions where bags are overweight and the post office take nu resposibilty and obvious the customer has no interest while it's now out of his hands! post offices don't even have there own bag scale to check the weights of the bags they pack themselves and even these can be overweight sometimes ! (obviously the latter is sorted by getting the post office to split the bag!) not so with the PPI it would seem! .......


So the question is WHO is responsible? Royal Mail seem to want to make a big thing of health and safety well here's a big issue that could potentially put people off work due to back injury because of failing to deal with it at source!

I was a real postie for eight years on my own walk arse sorry El bandit! , you might want to try collection yourself it'll open your eyes! And wasn't my choice to come off my walk was forced into it with the resign so go play with yourself! Thought this site was for constructive comments not Dicks!

I did deliveries for 11 years before switching to collections, suppose I'm not a real postie either though?

It still amazes me that people complain of the Divide and Conquer approach of Royal Mail in one thread. Yet others on a different thread (this one for example), do exactly that.

There are good points in every job, and there are bad points in every job. If people can't really see that, and think its acceptable to talk down people just because they do a different job in the same company , then they are not colleagues I can support and certainly aren't ones that deserve any respect from me.

The only poster in this thread with that attitude was Arse Bandit. I can't wait for him to start a thread here seeking advice so I can belittle him for not being a "real postal worker."
