New Housing Development

Hi,

Can some kind person please advise what the policy, and procedures are for deciding where, and what walk gets a new housing development, that has been completed on an existing walk with park and loop ?

In fact the new development has been built on an existing loop.

We'll it goes like this. It can be done in the existing del span or it cannot. If it can,all well and good and if it cannot , then bring it to the attention of line manager and ask him what he suggests. Finishing times don't expand if the walks increase in size. So if it's too large just say no working o/t thank you.

In fact the new development has been built on an existing loop.

Well it would depend on how big the development is really and where it is - there are a number of methods that's commonly used, add it to the P&L, add it to a bulk delivery and make up and add it to all the other odds and sods developments, and we have dozens, until such time as it makes sense to create a new delivery but I imagine it'll be added initially to the P&L.

In this particular instance, the people involved say they dont have enough time to do it in their duty span, and said that it should be added to my duty. These people finish between 12.30 - 1.30 pm every day. It is 43 houses that is involved.

So what has been done, is the management have dully decided to add it to my walk, which is near the other walk with the development on it, which I do not think is fair.

We are a park and loop team, so two in every van. We will have houses demolished, however they are being replaced with even more new ones in the same spot.

In that case you're probably looking at a pro-tem measure, those in place of the demolished and empty properties - not something the managers are going to miss. Once the new properties are built you'll be able to go to the manager and say that someone else should do them in the same way you had to do the new properties from someone else delivery.

What concerns me though, is that when it comes to the new houses on my patch, we will be lumbered with that, and the other persons new development, who say they cant do it because they will be over their time yet they finish 1 or 2 hours early every day.

Next time they go home early point out to Dom that they do have time to do it ( make sure you tell him just as you go home dead on time).

Yes, I fully agree. If they had said they had no time, I would have backed them up, but to dump their crap on me, really is not solidarity is it ?

All you can do is cut off as often as possible
