Hello,

Does anybody know if it's agreed anywhere that if people haven't got time to do the lapsed walk it's the lapse part they leave rather than their own job?

We have been told that we should not touch the lapsed walk until our own delivery is completed.This is from our area rep.

And guess what? that's commen sense FFS, Lapsing is about mail being down in the summer and having time to do a bit extra, NOT leaving part of your walk to do another :no no

Common sense from us. Psychological tricks for managers.

Their thinking is that if they insist you do it before your duty, then, because of a posties traditional loyalty to the residents on their patch, the chances of you cutting off are reduced. :sad:

Not quite common sense as it's going to take extra time to come back to office back out to lapsing area deliver it and come back, that's two extra potentially unnecessary journeys for each bit of lapsing, should be taken with you as it saves time overall
