Anyone out there from Nantwich ???

Just had message from my lad - he's received (from me) an empty envelope with a hole in it - it should have contained a USB stick which he left at home last weekend ... and it was just an empty envelope .... as in NOT IN A DAMAGE BAG.

Just for the hell of it I've just gone thru the 740 740 kerfuffle - what a waste of time that is !!

So ... somewhere between Manchester and Nantwich (poss Crewe I guess) is a lonely memory stick which - when plugged into a PC - is named with his mobile phone number.

Any assistance gratefully received ...

nantwich gets its non sequenced mail from warrington, so Manchester mc -warrington mc - nantwich do.assuming that a usb is too big to be sequenced(the css is in crewe)

Was it in a jiffy bag or an envelope ?

That would help to work out what has happened, letter can rub wearing a hole during movements and the contents falling out, whereas a jiffy bag give better protection also it is always advisable if you are going to send item of value, it would be better to use either recorded for proof of postage or Special delivery for tracking and compensation cover in case of loss.

Agree with everything there NW - it WAS in an envelope as it was not of great value (all info on stick had been e-mailed !) - it's more the lack of a damage bag that p*sses me off - I STILL carry damage bags in my postie bag as - being p/t - someone else preps 90% of my mail ... and I like to cover myself ...

Possibly ripped at your son's letterbox? Is it lying in a corner in his hallway? Otherwise then he should have knocked and explained "he had a torn letter to deliver, havn't got a damaged bag but here's a 739 card with a phone number on". Hope it turns up in a bluey from Belfast

Slightly biased opinion I think as you have declared youll "get rid" of anyone who thinks its ok to strike.
