A couple of the lads put an England flag on their frame this morning and were told by our DOM to remove it or face disciplinary action.
Apparently, according to our DOM, There is a policy in place (not just at RM but to which a lot of UK companies have agreed to be a part of) that prohibits the display of such things in the workplace.
One of the lads threatened to go to the newspapers over it and was told he would be immediately sacked if he did.
We then asked if such a policy exists can we have a copy to avoid any future breaches, but our DOM just said he didn't have time for that.
He did also add that should England make the final we can paint the vans and decorate the office any way we want !
Now i know it ain't gonna happen, but if we did make it ........
Anyone know if there is actually such a policy and where i can read it in full ?

Happens every time. You cant put them on the vans either.

TBH i'm not overly concerned but it was only 4 years ago under a different DOM we had flags everywhere, on vans, bikes, pouches, frames etc.
Even under this DOM he has allowed us to wear footy shirts on the day of big games.
I would just like concrete proof of a proper written policy within RM on this.

Well I've been wearing an Engerlund cap all week and no one has said anything...
ironically enough I'm not even wearing it for any patriotic reason I've got no interest in international football at all, I just wanted a cheap (a pound!), white, lightweight cap instead of the dark grey RM one made of thick, heavy material which isn't really ideal for wearing in the summer

Giving that some drunken fools took it upon themselves to burn Italian flags after the loss to Italy; it is just asking for trouble...
Footie tops and overt team colours are also frowned upon in the MDECS and that is within the same country.
What about an Iranian flag or even Argentinian or Costa Rica or Chile (my fancied teams)?
