The response rate was a fantastic 85%

Thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s employee survey. We’re pleased to reveal that the results are now in.

The response rate this year was 85%. This was a terrific achievement, and an increase of 10% on last year.

Across the board, almost all scores were up, with the Employee Engagement score at 54. This is four more than last year. Scores improved in 68 questions and stayed the same on one. There were no areas within Royal Mail where scores fell.

Action plan

Your unit manager will soon share your area’s results. You will have the opportunity to work with your colleagues and your manager to produce an action plan to address local issues and concerns.

The senior leadership team of the company will also create an action plan. We will share more details once it’s completed.

Working together

Chief executive officer Moya Greene says: ‘Thank you to all who took part. I really value your feedback as it tells me where we are doing well and also where we need to improve.

‘I am grateful to you all for sharing your views. By working together, I know we can make further progress in 2014-15.’

Our unit manager's only interest was to improve the response rate for the unit, and so avoid getting his balls chewed off. Job done.

We asked if we could take them home and bring them back the next day but they were having none of it.seems all they gave a s**t about was the numbers.why is it every year we get the results it never says whats really bad it's always "oh we're 2% up on that question".also why are no comments shown.next one I'm just puttin straight back in the envelope sick of wasting 10 minutes for nothing

Although they say it's anonymous they can find out who left the snidey remarks by :- Office, dept, age, f/t or p/t, how long at it, don't take much to whittle you down by your handwriting when you sign on. Always lie on that bit.
