increasing contracted hours

Did i read right in the new pay deal agreement that staff working more than there contracted hours on a regular basis week after week should be entitled to have there hours increased?

2.7.7 The level of part time Employees’ contracted hours will be reviewed by the
Employer and the CWU locally on a six monthly basis. Where appropriate,
increased contracted hours will be offered to reflect the hours actually
worked and planned.

For past 12 months staff at ours on 25 hours have been working 30 hours inline with office structure. Every week. Nothing has been done to boost up. Union havent said a word.

Do we have any more facts on this... Could do with looking into this... I'm on 30hr... Yet being asked to come in early at least 4/5 days a week!!!...

Also its not guaranteed - as its says it can be reviewed, not that it will happen.

That's funny, 2 lads in ours were on 30hr contracts, & have now been dropped to 24hrs, all in order to make savings!

unless they are on fixed term contracts they cannot drop hours without agreement.
