The more, the better. Don't swallow that line that we need a political voice and that should be the Labour Party. You only have to look at the miners, dockers, railway workers, car workers, health service workers, education workers, bus workers to see what a crock that is. Labour has done nothing for any of them, and you can bet they won't do anything for us.Woody6 wrote:We had a petition go round our Mail Centre last night for people to opt out of political funding part of union subs, loads have signed up to it.

I've copied this form:
Political Fund Exemption Notice
I hereby give notice that I object to contributing to the Political Fund of the union and am in consequence exempt, in the manner provided by Chapter 6 of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (consolidation) Act 1992, from contributing to that fund.
Signature .........................................................................................
Name ...............................................................................................
Membership No ..............................................................................
Address ............................................................................................
..........................................................................................................
Branch .............................................................................................
Date .................................................................................................
Sending a copy to wages (with my pay number for good measure) and one to our CWU Sec to forward to H Q. Done several copies for my equally disgusted workmates. It's sad this is happening just as some Labour MP's with a conscience have put an EDM in supporting our cause, but after what the rat Brown said yesterday, I'm finished with 'em.
