There is a cost to a 9% pay rise over 3 years and lump sums, when teachers, nurses etc are getting below inflation rises. The union holds a knife to royal mails throat every time there is a pay negotiation. They know we can grind the country to a halt, just like the rail unions. Royal Mail will obviously want something in return ie revisions, working to time and lapsing. The price we pay for inflation busting pay rises. I think the incentive plan will be connected to company profits.

make of that what you will along with (IMO) this and previous national agreements being blank cheques to be filled out once the sheep (us) have agreed to them signing a blank cheque
