The new proposed deal is this: i know this because i asked RM operations exactly what was being tabled:
5.4% on basic pay from October 2007 taking full time national basic pay from £324.92 per week to £342.46.
1.5% on basic pay in April 2008 (on condition agreement on pension reform, change and flexibility is reached)
Which means 347.60 basic
So 6,9% over two years.
If all agreed, a lump sum of £175 in October sometime. Plus the usual productivity scheme, Colleague shares etc. - which amount to pennies on the grand scale of things.

Wot no backdating?
And what about April to October - no backdating?
Also does that mean that the annual wage negotiation date changes from April to October which would actually make it a 30 month deal.
These people are so slippery that everyhting has got to be looked at 100 times.

So after 6 months of talks and four months of on and off strikes this is the best RM can offer :lfo and :cfo .In my office the two 48hr strikes have done wonders.Everyone back later taking breaks and still a huge amount of mail left in the office.
