Christmas Saturday

With this Christmas falling on a Friday and the "boxing Day" Bank Holiday shifting to the Monday. Are we working the Saturday ?

Christmas Day & boxing Day are on the Thursday & Friday this year(2014). They fall on Friday & Saturday next year(2015).

so yes working Saturday.

A few of our blokes managed to wangle the Fri & Sat off last Xmas despite it being a 'no leave' week,So i'm gonna put in a request for the Sat off this year and will kick up a stink if i don't get it and others do!!

It's still spring, we've got the summer and autumn to get through first, and someone's thinking ahead to Christmas over seven months away.
I think they should get out more.

next year no you always have christmas day and boxing day off and the following bank hols eg christmas day sat boxing day sun then bh mon and bh tue off dont worry

Hopefully RM will apply to the regulator for the 26th Dec to be a non service day, if they don't then night shifts will probably be back in at 00:00 on the saturday and early and weekend shifts and DOs will be in at whatever time they'd normally be due to be in at on a Saturday

But after Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th we were working Saturday 27th December 2008 and Royal Mail aren't going to be any more generous six years later .

I will be on leave form 18th December to January 7th - I retire in August :)
