walked in 5 mins early today & got my coffee, oppo said they'd already asked where i was?
hell of a lot had already bagged up and on their way out and we were lapsing.
i said i wont be taking mine and got grief!
the full timer next to me who is exempt from sorting had already loaded van before i'd put a letter in my frame!
i said get them to take it, they've had 3 hours start on me, lino just walked off?

i read horror stories of the management ,but ours are soft as a bag o knackers

A bit like that today in our DO, on IPS and manager tells me I lapsing 1/3 duty and I was in the door 5mins wtf

thats what i did!
they assumed that most were ready by 8ish that all could absorb, us starting at 8 would be pushing it and no way am i busting a gut in this weather.
i did argue that how come some f/t'ers are allowed out before we even start without doing any sorting, fell on deaf ears
did say if they had the bollox to tell those that have 5.5 hours to complete on a light day perhaps maybe they they could do ips or my extra bit!

You must get out as quick as you can , only then can the managers draw straws between them to see who goes home at 10 and who stays behind til 2 (on o/t)

Christ! what a carry on.nowonder this job has lost its appeal?shame we don't have visits anymore my so called top brass,just to ask how things are going etc etc,maybe they just know,and happy to hear the moans and groans,and not take a chance to take the pin out of that grenade? it certainly is a them and us job now

completed own duties, left the absorbed bit in, tits me off that when i asked if i could start earlier to get a flyer a few weeks ago i got told no, even if we'd taken extra bit

typical,lack of fairness and consistency by management,their management and people skills at an all time low yet again!!!

what gets me is a purely simple directive.
the line manager must have known the traffic (light-ish) and has several FT'ers who wont do sorting,
he wants to lapse so the obvious way is to tell those who refuse to do ips to do it or tell them they'll be back out if back early, they do get 1 to 2 hours extra time for the same job.
as i said, loads had 5hrs+ to complete on a decent day (with lapsed) we had 4hrs and did it at a canter, probably could have done lapsed bit, but why rush on a hot day!
