Hi, just a quickie. Is its RM policy for all employees to have 30 mins WTLL per week? Is it supposed to be in your 318? Please help me as need information. Thanks

It's built in to your time, yes.

It's part of the Way Forward Agreement iirc. It should be included in your P318.

Just had a look through the Way Forward Agreement and can't see anything about WTL. But I'm pretty sure it was in one agreement. Anyone know?

Yes they do, they all should have been reproduced as part of the revision process

I think there' are official exceptions. "WTL will be held every week except for when everyone is tired and feels like sitting down for a half-hour. Or when there's information that's important and relevant that needs to be shared out to staff in a timely manner. Or frankly, when management just can't be bothered. Then, it's back to the coal mine for everyone."

I am sure its built in,cant remember the last one we had,usualy national stuff that doesn't apply to us apparently? oh ok bye then can we go now ? any thing important like local issues doesn't get a mention.i think if you have been with royal mail for some time,you just have to laugh and shake your head at the stuff that going on,and wonder what scheme they are about to come up with next......

Thanks guys, but not in duty builder. Had revision last year, and there is no mention on our 318's. All is on them is prep time, loading, van checks, delivery, meal breaks
etc. No mention of WTLL.

What about floaters we get no WTL as we're not in on Tuesdays, only the rare occasion I'm in on Tuesday for OT.

Yeah wee had the handbrake one in our wtl. Maybe if royal mail had reasonable work loads and postmen were not running around like headless chickens just to get finished within there time they would not forget simple things like putting a handbrake on!

Sorry; but maybe if the job was done 'per spec' then surely there would not be a reason to not put the handbrake on! And of course one would not be a headless chicken.
