Absorbing & BNP over Election period.
Just wanting to know are there any offices absorbing through the Election period and we have been told it's a national agreement and we HAVE to deliver BNP material. Who the F**k are the union to make up our minds about these BNP leaflets?

Re: Absorbing & BNP over Election period.
Election material and absorption are two different things.
You don't HAVE to deliver BNP leaflets - that is why there is a conscience clause in the agreement.
They should listen sympathetically to your request not to do them.
And if they don't - then don't do any at all.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

If still have time then lapsing can still happen as long as traffic is under model week,Kings Norton wrote:Just wanting to know are there any offices absorbing through the Election period and we have been told it's a national agreement and we HAVE to deliver BNP material. Err the national agreement on election material is you can refuse to deliver it if you object to it on conscience grounds or safety reasons, and that national policy, it has never been national policy that you must deliver it, though if you refuse it may mean being shifted off your walk for a day or so to let someone else deliver it who isn't objecting

Why are people scared of delivering BNP leaflets it's our job to deliver that's why we are called postmen and women

Do they have to be scared to refuse them, and here I thought the agreements had the level set at "belief of personal risk". Perhaps come the next election we should have ECGs on standby to check the level of fearPHARRY wrote:zx135 wrote:If still have time then lapsing can still happen as long as traffic is under model week,Kings Norton wrote:Just wanting to know are there any offices absorbing through the Election period and we have been told it's a national agreement and we HAVE to deliver BNP material. Further the agreement is not restricted to ANY single party - it applies to all. As I have said before if you have a moral objection to delivering the Green Parties leaflets you can refuse to do so, and although I wouldn't agree with your values, I would support your right to refuse.

Has different names in different offices. Same principal, where you take a bit, or a row from another duty on light days. Nearly always a Monday or Tuesday. Do they not do this in your office?paulf0203 wrote:I wasn't gesting it's just that I have never heard the term lapsing at my DO in the 4 months I've been there so what is it?dazzlin72 wrote:Paulf0203, if not saying in gest, you will find out what absorbtion is soon enough!, & once it starts god help you, as never satisfied, just keep wanting you to do more, & more, regardless, no common sense whatsoever.

Sharing, usually the delivery element of, one or more additional rounds between the employees in order that there is sufficient work to fill their duty times.
