The amount paid varies from area to area. 3p/item could well be the correct rate for your area

Even at 3p it adds up esp if you end up with 4 or more lots.

You would have to give notice to object to delivering election leaflets. Your prob out of time now.

we had a "brief" yesterday,,,,told to expect them today,,,they didn't show but were to get 5p ,,,,and no overtime will be paid if you go over doing them LOL

This is were i get pissed off at RM/CWU, how can people doing the same job be paid different rates? some get 3p while others can get 6p, so one person can earn double for doing the same thing? i thought the CWU/RM supported fairness for all? i got paid 4.2 per polling card for the record, Madness....

well if you dont deliver them and they find out, consider yourself out of a job.

The electoral commission or whatever they're called must have a central database of eligible voters, what ward they're in, polling station for that ward, etc. Why don't they post them all out centrally either 1c, 2C or if they must DSA, then payments could be centrally calculated and standardised, no manual counting of them and they'd all get walk sequenced

they cannot force you to go over your time

You are the CWU. Get the download information from this site and approach your rep and ask for 6p. Then you have to back up the rep. Its a drawn out process but we achieved it and get 6p a drop now.

Its up to you of course but if its unaddressed leaflets you can spread them over 7 days. Say you have 600 drops and take just 100 a day at the close you earn a extra £18 per contract. You could get 6 contracts which is £108 for no more work than D2D which pays a max of £21 supplement. Plus any poll cards you may deliver.

Its not bad money for light leaflets.

Being a Newbie and a Spare who get's sent to different offices and different walks every day. Got a feeling I'm going to get screwed over regarding all this extra material. When would you normally get paid for it anyway?
