Saturdays off, what's the agreed amount?

Our office is currently having a couple of people leaving through vr, one of these duties is in the callers office and now they have saved a whack of hours the callers duties have been modified, 1 of these amended duties will be that their will not be 1 Saturday off at all. The union rep shows no interest as he's going sick, and the deputy rep is new and dont know a lot.

Is their a specific paragraph in an agreement to fight this awful duty schedule?

No.
The attendance patterns are whatever the office votes for.

So whoever gets this duty, will have to have no Saturdays off a year? The rest of the office it's a 1 in 6.

Personally I think it is crap for an office to vote that someone has no Saturdays off ......but that is democracy apparently.
Some people would rather have a day (or two) off during the week due to childcare arrangements/outside interests and don't mind working every Saturday.
Hopefully a volunteer can be found to fill the duty.

Clash, if it's only a few duties being modified to accomodate two VR's, there will be no office vote.

That duty would properly be lapsed in my office, the union rep seems more then happy to help managers save hours rather then make sure we've got enough reserves

Yes the office had no input into it, it was basically 1 from the den being paid off, the office as a whole has a 1 in 6 Saturdays off, the specific postie had applied for vr, but was refused.
