do we not receive holiday pay at the start of it; i.e. 2 weeks pay when having a week off?

id this something which when a factory closed down say for xmas even the wages dept would work same hours days so therefore if you didnt get paid upfront you wouldnt get paid till the week after you got back therefore being a week in arreas?new2me wrote:do we not receive holiday pay at the start of it; i.e. 2 weeks pay when having a week off?

it's been a long time since i've been on weekly pay, but do remember getting the holiday week upfront ... doesn't make any difference to me now, but was just wondering
