Can anyone tell me if there is a certain period of time that a postie who has just passed their driving test has to wait before they can drive for Royal Mail?

As long as they do the "change over" and receive all appropiate training no probs

It is an assessment to ensure you are capable enough to drive for RM.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Its a combination of training and a assessment which gives you a risk rating (low,med,high,dangerous), it last 3.5 hours long.

a bit excessive i can see its turned into a scam to pay the aa instructor loads

30 min drive around town then reverse park on to the dock bay when I did it :nana I believe it is a few hours now and some questions ,that's what some of the guys in the office who have recently taken it have said

i had been driving for less than a month... was a total new driver when i started.. stalling vans. clearly a new driver. anyway, my licence was clean and thats all they cared about.
i had my test within a couple of months.
