So I seem to keep getting 'stitched up' with D2d's, and this week i get it really bad as the round i was doing after my day off had one of those bulky red cross envelopes in every house. I wasn't told that the postman who's been doing the round was going to do it like this by the postman or my line manager, i went in on my day off to see if my D2Ds had been thrown in, when i saw all them in i thought 'stitched up', and it was his day off, so it's obviously premeditated.. Now, these red cross envelopes make the mail exceptionally heavy specially on the busiest day, so i left more in than what i took and my bags were still overweight and so was my trolley. I'm getting a good bollocking for it soon, so i want to know is there any point taking this higher than my manager, like complaining to the union or something?

if the management make a big deal out of it then I'd say certainly yes take it higher. the fact is the guy who you are covering hasnt completed the job properly. as far as I understand your suppose to deliver 1/6th d2d per day. so this means if theres 4/5/6/7 for one week. you do roughly 1.5 columns depending on how many houses are on the round etc.

Yeah 1 and half columns a day. And our line managers always going on about doing D2Ds properly and what not. I always do them properly and it pisses me off when this s**t happens, and i ain't prepared to take it no more.

If he has filled the entire frame up,take most of them out and leave your days allocation in,job done,do it in front of a witness

So are you saying that someone put them all in on your day off,then when you came in the day after your day off you saw that all of these d2ds had been prepped in?

Yes thats it. Full of all those bulky Red Cross envelopes, which are like 3-4 normal D2D's thick.

Leave them in the frame. Go to your dom and explain the situation and say you will have to break the bags down further and this will cause you to cut off. Let the dom decide what he wants you to do.

What day did this happen because it is Saturday tomorrow and they should all be completed?

Its happened Wednesday and Thursday. I left them for the postman who 'stitched me up'. So he had to take most of them today. Tomorrow I get disciplined, and i want to know if i have a right to say it's not fair how they were done and if i should/could take it higher than my line manager.
