different finish times on P/L

I am F/T and my start time is 6.15am and my finish time is 2.15pm (39 hour)
This week my P/L partner has a start time of 7.30am and a finishing time of 2.00 pm (32 hour)
How does that work if our finishing times are different, I asked the DOM and he just shrugged his shoulders

If you're the driver take him back to the office at his finish time unless someone is going to come pick him up. Have a big turd when you get back and then there will be no more time for you to work.

This happens all the time in our office. Part timers are regularly paired with f/ts on f/t rounds and are still given a hard time when claiming o/t.

No - what will happen is that the part-timer, seeing you ready to bundle almost when he comes in, will probably feel pressurized into coming in early for nothing. That way you still finish at the same time as if paired with a f/t postie, and RM has filled yet another post in its 'predominantly full-time workforce' with someone on part-time pay.

I don't think it's rocket science but wouldn't you just change the starting time of the part time staff to 7.45 and then finish at 14.15.

Or change the full timer to come in 15 mins earlier,part timers are messed about enough by this firm.

6.15 to 2.15 is an 8 hour day.
Do you do longs and shorts or is your day 6.15 to 2.03?
Aren't there tasks on returning to the office which the f/t staff would then do and the p/t staff wouldn't?

Yes we have 1.45 finish on Monday and Tuesday and 2.15 on wed/thurs/fri/sat

He goes home at 2.00, you sort the bags, trolleys, p739's, PDA's etc for 15 mins then go home.
