BREAKS at FRAME? seriously its happening

One section takes breaks in canteen.....apart from some....

Other section after basically being told to take some kind of break
Take it at the frame
Surely this can't be okay?

I can't get myhead round it at all

why not has long as they are not working maybe they dont want to sit in the canteen with the loud mouths playing pool

i dont see why its a problem if the people both know they have the option to take a break away from frame AND actually do take their break whether it be at frame or not. If they actually continue working during the break then its a problem.

I think its OK as long as folk know they CAN go to the canteen
But personally even ten/fifteen minutes away from the paper helps me chill

How can you have a break on the work floor? madness where will all this end hopefully in a court of law is all I can say!

They can't be forced to take their breaks elsewhere

If you have an RTA the police will take a dim view of any so called break in the workplace hope all the management who acquiesce this also are in the dock with them!

a good few years ago you could smoke and have your break at your fitting. imagine that now eh!!!!

I have a coffee and a sandwich on my frame. I don't have time to take a break in the canteen. I want to get out and on with the delivery. I'm finishing the round in the time allowed and add the break (40 mins) to the end. Sure it might not be popular with some on this forum, but it's what everyone in our office does. I haven't had a proper break since 2nd delivery went and that was around 12+ years ago.

No one is taking breaks in our DO.
That's the punishment if you've been bad boy/girl to take your break at the end of your shift!

Im guessing there are some pretty empty canteens up and down the country due to ppl not taking their breaks, use them or lose them!!

should be in the canteen if not it should be classed as no break taken and lapsing for 20 mins given
