As long as it takes is the answer.
It depends what they are like , charity bags and pens or County mags always slow you down.
As I say don't put pressure on yourself ,it takes as long as it takes and forget all this timing b*llocks its a job not a race

can someone explain why its expected to only take 14 mins to do 6 contracts when 1 contract is 4 minutes ?
Surely it should be at least 24 minutes (6 contracts x 4 mins each), if not a bit longer as the more you have the harder it is to insert D2D into the slots (especially double slots)

When you prep 1 contract you place them directly into the frame.
Same with 2 contracts.
With 3 /4/5/6 contracts you put them together before putting them in the frame. So you only make 1 prepping motion into the frame.
Consequently 6 contracts doesn't take 6x longer than 1 contract.

That is the rationale. Not saying I agree.

Also, the more D2Ds in a slot makes it harder to throw PROPER mail in.

Time pretty much irrelevant to a part timer who comes in to a partly prepped frame,try putting 2 x 6 lots into a double slot that has saga mags and normal mail in.

TrueBlue.......does that include the time allotted to put them inside each other or just to throw in.....as everywhere d2ds can be a sore point in our do

youre not supposed to put them inside each other, only to stack them together. So in theory it should be quicker to stack 5 households on your bench then insert them into each slot, than to prep each household individually.

ha, to be honest i still put them inside each other too, We havent been trained to not do this either, but I know the official practice is not to do so. If the manager at my unit ever make a point of not doing it, ill stop, until then it makes the mail a lot less messy to handle than when you have households sliding all over the place.
