EVR lads told there is no job for them in office...

some lads in our office have been given evr(lucky devils).....they are due to leave the company at the end of May(apparently)....but have just been told by management that from next week (until they leave)...they will have no job at our office...and will be shipped out to whatever office until they leave the company in two months...is this right?
Can RM managers do this?
These are all senior posties(30++ years in the business)...it just seems absurd that with a few weeks left before they leave RM forever....they are taken off their duties and shipped out all over the place?
We have had one re-pick....but due to the EVRs kicking in we are due for another re-pick once these lads have gone....but surely for the sake of a few weeks RM can leave them on the duties they are on now.....surely senior posties deserve to be treated better than this before they leave the company for good having worked so many years for RM?
Just seems so wrong to treat senior staff who have served the company so well with utter contempt just before they are due to leave the company?

just make sure they all know that they should turn up at their own DO for their start time, and then get transported to the other DO, and also then finish early enough at the other DO and transported back to their home DO to finish there for their finish time, tell them to insist on being given a van or being driven there and back and not to use their own cars or to go to the new do off their own backs,

its rubbish treatment for them so play a little hard ball and make it as difficult as possible for DOM

And that my friend is how they will treat you when the time comes,so bear this in mind when they ask you to go over "just this once" to help them out.I certainly do now.

What's the CWU rep doing on this? If management are stating that there is no duties for them then the EVR paperwork and leaving package should have been implemented earlier so that these colleagues should have left the business without any disruption to their present duties and them having to be manoeuvred around. This so called re-pick should have been postponed until the EVR had been completed and for them to finish their service on their current duties.

I'd doubt if it could be reduced by even a penny after an amount has been agreed.

I have heard that as well Clash.....seen some of the lads today....shipped out to other offices most of them bless em......if they can do this to very senior posties what have they got in store for us in the future?
I think our old CWU reps would have done something about this situation....but times have changed.

Who's pretending, stress and depression could easily follow an EVR notice. If they were managers they'd be on garden leave or made into a crayon toting WCM pillar.
