Lapsing on a Friday what stat all about I thought it was agreeded by the union that it was a tuesday thing only, so why was they trying to get us to do it today, Lino came over and told us all that we're lapsing a walk even tho today was the buisest day of the week, we made are point by working to our time and then brought it back for management to do and that's how it will be if they ask again.

No lapsing can be any day, including Saturday, all down to Working Your Paid hours in the flexibility agreement (PM07). However, you have done exactly the right thing.

Of course if you have a decent rep who keeps on top of his managerial counterpart then lapsing should be agreed in the weekly resource meeting but only if the predicted/real traffic levels are below your model week (if you have had a revision). But even that won't stop lapsing if there is time within the duty to do it.

Yes, our new DOM is doing this, i.e. using predicted traffic levels and as a result we had none Monday this week. Unfortunately, I had to cut-off today and my colleague went out on OT to do the lapsing after he dropped me back at the DO. The 'predictions' clearly failed to notice it is Mothering Sunday this weekend and that the volume of cards and boxes of flowers today was ridiculous, as last year. A very busy Friday..

More fool you lot we laps on a tues and that's only because it's the leightest day, I think we made our point by working to our time and bringing it back for managers to do something instead of sitting in the office playing Candy crush!!!

If you "lapse" every day, you aren't lapsing you have simply extended your delivery span.
