It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

a couple did, the one said it was helping himself out when i asked why he was helping rm out.
we also had about 5 in before 4.30 this morning and several others drifting in at least half hour early. i tried to get the message across about bringing the mail back etc but to no avail.
what is wrong with some people, dont they understand what we are up against.
on the plus side we had one leave 10 trays of mail, would have been more if the strike breakers hadnt thrown most of the rounds in over the last few days.

I am guilty of using my car today.
However I came in on time and took both my breaks of 20 mins before and after delivery and intend to continue to do so despite having to confront the screw and leave half the work on top of the frame.
Some people in the office are still using cars and some have given up.
I had a phone call over the weekend from a couple of guys who were really worried about the car ban and were considering leaving rather than have to drag heavy bags back to the office everyday and confront the screws about cutting off, also some are in a poor physical state and will suffer as a result.
This is a sensitive issue and must be handled properly as I don't want my colleagues to have to give up their jobs because of this.
