grandfather rights on driving?

I would like to know if my allowance for driving would be protected if I come off driving to do a walk at resign, I have been driving for many years and over 25yrs in job.

i was lead to believe as soon as you pick a non driving duty you loose all rights to the driving allowance even if you return to driving further down the line

If you picked out of a driving duty, that has omv allowances, voluntarily you would not get pay protection
The repick would take place under the terms of the MTFS agreement

Just happened to us at a resign. Aslong as you dont give up your duty voluntarily which isnt the case in a resign you keep your money.
