Flexibility?(AND FAIRNESS)

Are only certain people supposed to be flexible have a ongoing argument with dom who keeps changing me on a daily basis , i do floating and often guys work their days off and he expects me 2 change,he then says to me i need everybody to be flexible but he will not change regular guys!! this has been ongoing for months and i have had enough we have had no resign yet he will only change a few of us yet last week we had a fairness meeting! and i said he was being unfair he says i can only change guys who i know can do the jobs i said p+l is easy if you are a postie you just have to learn i am more senior to some people who have been givin own jobs as well and i am now insisting on repick dom says i will just have to wait as we do not have time at mo! i think he is discriminating against myself for being flexible and also being unfair he does not seem to think so and says i am manager and can tell you and anyone else what to do! is he right can he force me to keep changing when someone works day off? rep is back next week and i am going to see him but some off the other guys i speak to dont think he will budge , but surely if he is treating people differently i believe he is. in the wrong? am i right to take this further?

it is unfair, flexing up by 30 mins, can only be done by people who have no children, so the older you are the more you have to flex, if you are on a duty, you should stay on it, the problem arises, when you try and get someone to do o/t but its not his walk, result a big fat no!!!!

If you're a floater you have every right to Stay on your duty, managers used to try doing this at our office but te union put them in their place, it's your duty on that day and someone working on overtime does not fall under operational needs.
