Thoughts on what happened to me

So I walked in to the office this morning at my usual time(8:30) to be told "you are going to have to go to another office" by the stand in manager. Now my issue here was I have been on a duty for the last few months and the manager had brought in another body on overtime, now is idea was that this other body was put on my duty while i was turfed off to another office. Needless to say i kicked up a fuss about this. He was trying to say it is because i am a leave reserve, but the duty i have been covering is basically day off cover(float) and there was other people in the office that were more leave reserve than i was because they were covering walks that were people actually on annual leave, so why would i be classed as leave reserve more when i have quite clearly been covering day off cover since October last year. My real issue with the manager here though was how he brought some one in on over time, put him on my duty and was trying to send me packing....your thoughts on whether this is actually allowed to happen or not would be interesting to ear.

Pretty certain it is allowed, just insist that you are transported back to your home D.O. for your official finish time

Your contract of employment states:

Place of Work/Mobility Clause

Your initial place of work will be xxxxxxx Delivery Office. The needs of Royal Mail require mobility.
You may therefore be required to work at any other work location of Royal Mail plc.

Turn up at your d.o. at your start time, get transported to the other d.o. Work there until it's time to be transported back to your home d.o. in time to finish at your finishing time and don't forget your meal relief. I'm sure the small amount of actual delivery you'll be able to do in that time will f**k them off no end. Result, you back at your home d.o. Well it could happen...

They can do it.
But, if you insist on following all the rules etc., they'll soon get fed up of you and stop pissing you about.

You start/finish at your normal office, at your normal starting/finishing times.
They provide travel to/from the office you're being asked to go to.
Then of course, you'll need training.
Contact names/numbers etc.

Get the Rep involved if possible.
