Fairness!! not at royal mail

SO we had our meeting about fairness last week i challenged dom as i do not believe myself and about 6 others are being treated fairly , we are floaters and reserves and we are always having to change walks , in fact i am floater and when guys work days off he insists i change not the person who is working day off i have said this is not fair but he says i am flexible!! and can cope with changing!,since revision 2 yrs ago we have had no resign i have been 10yrs there and others even more yet he has allocated guys with a year or so there on walk! i said it is wrong that others know every day what they are doing yet i don"t but he says it will take too long to train others up! i mean how hard can it be when u p+l,even rep agrees with him although he thinks it might be a little unfair! i have said i want resign but dom says they do not have time! as we are short staffed does anybody else have same problems and if so do you think this is unfair? what can i do if i believe this is unfair as rm seem to think they are treating everyone fairly i now go into work knowing that i am probably only doing 2 of the walks a week i should be only because they do not work days off i think i will start to refuse too change until they start changing others

Yes it happens to me all the time too. I just tell them I might be bringing mail back if it's on a round I haven't done before. No more doing them any favours and going over my time if I can help it.

Why not email Moya? she's always asking people to do that if they have any problems. I know someone who did it and they got a result.

yes i done the ask Allan a few yrs back and my boss got the email too and the reply so i got a bollocking, i couldn't believe it i never recieved any email of letter regarding my issue

i think i might as it happened again today dom insisting i change as walk i was covering was being done by regular he actually said he needs flexibility in office! so i need to change! i asked about regular changing and he just shrugged his shoulders and said business needs as i know all the walks! so i have now got rep involved as surely if you work day off that walk is not yours on that day but the floaters and i believe regular should change i have also asked for resign as we still have not had one 2 yrs after revision i am prepared to take this further i am awaiting outcome with my rep as he is going to have meeting with dom
