advice needed

I am on 32 hour contract fixed Wednesday off and the round that i am on day off. We have 4 rounds that we rotate. Just been told under the new revision i will have a fixed Tuesday and Wednesday off so that the other 4 posties can have their one in four long weekends of, it used to be one in five. I have worked in the same office for 10 years, i am not a reserve, seems the others have already agreed to it. Seems unfair at best discrimination at worse. Any thoughts advise

I believe he's complaining because he will lose the rotating day off and be given Tuesdays off instead plus his usual Wednesday off. At least that's the way I read it?

Tuesday being the worst day to miss and Wednesday being the best day to have off kind of balances out but I am guessing that means no Saturdays off? I think you are entitled to 1 in 6 Saturdays off or something. If this is what you are upset about perhaps one of the union bods on here could advise you better or maybe your own office rep?

He's only on a 32 hour contract though. Seems totally out of order if he isn't getting a saturday off.

The attendance pattern for the office should be decided by the office.
In theory an office can vote to have permanent Saturday attendances to allow 1 in 4 for the majority, but it should be followed by a resign.

Thank you for the info. Does that mean if i take on the permanent rota position with fixed days off of Tuesday and Wednesday, i can ask the others to sign for the other duties. In effect they are asking me to sign for a rota duty but they will revolve around me to get their one in four week ends off
