never really been an issue at ours, i nearly always get asked, but a couple of weeks ago after a slight spat over cutting off, everyone on our aisle got asked but walked straight pass me.
next day a few had rang in sick and came and asked me if i could now work it.....errrr no

It all very 'closed' at my place. We even had someone asked to come in early for IPS on Tuesday when there was absolutely nothing to do. This person comes in early anyway: but spends his time throwing out for his part time partner - for free.

Some people are asked to come in early on IPS almost every day but most of us do not know why, the OT is rarely put to everyone and we certainly do not have an idea how much OT is being done and by whom.

The only OT, us mere mortals (juniors and p/t) gets is ad hoc delivery OT - hard slog! Even days off is not advertised - manager just ask their favourites. But then some of us gets 'wake up' call to come in on day's off or only get asked whenever the manager is struggling to cover.

Offices having docket sheets that is signed off - that will be the day. :whistle

AGREED when they pay time and a half for ot like most companies i will volunteer until then i take day off and only do very occasional ot when i am back late and then only when dom agrees b4 i go out as for doing ips early no thanks i would rather stay in bed as our jobsworth dom will just look at you and say you are going too slow you then have 2 go out and do 4 and a half hrs delivery! you will just end up more knackered so it just aint worth it

We have some staff only given p/t hours on Mon and Tues, yet one of the CSS operators does upwards of 30 hours per week OT on delivery.

There are only a few in my office who want the OT on a regular basis, if they stop doing it more staff would be needed.

Just find out who the last person out the two came in last then go from there :Very Happy
