no letterbox!

Hi. Just a question, if a customer has no letterbox where would you put the p739 if they had a packet?? They have just had a door fixed with no letterbox!.

I've just taken over a large firms delivery and have asked the office coach to change the sorting frame, as it's out of date etc. A new retail park has just been built and 40% of the units are occupied but she won't add them to the frame because "they have no letterbox and I'm not allowed to"

no letter box !!, no mail or parcels, i take a photo with my phone, show to manager then kill off items, always cover your back

I don't think you can just return the item to sender.
If it is an ongoing problem, alert your manager to the situation and s/he can go and sort it out.
A quick visit, an explanation of the problem and hopefully a speedy resolution.

I had a house with no letterbox on one of my walks, the agreement was to put the mail through the open window which was ok apart from the occasional days that they forgot to leave the window open I just returned the mail to the office as no access and tried again the next day.

Did you try the door? Maybe it was left unlocked. It happened to me once when I was new, and a couple of postmen told me to kill of the mail - inaccessible. I thought I'd better check with the manager, and he just said leave it with me. I never did the duty again so I don't know what happened. I assume they had a letterbox fitted eventually.

Another house, actually a remote farm, had no letterbox. The door was always left open, except when they went on holiday. That's when they left the window open! Everyone else checks that the windows are shut when they go on holiday, they leave it open!

Just let your manager sort it out.

I used to do a firms delivery, hardly any of them had a letter box, Monday to Friday mail went to reception, just inside the front door, or for retail units customer services, nearest checkout to front door, even if they had a letter box, the amounts of mail they got would be to much to fit, through anyway, most of them had a Saturday retention as they were closed on Saturday. The retail units were always open so delivered them.
