Been asked to work at another office tomorrow.
Am I entitled to claim mileage or is that only if you turn up at your normal office and they ask you to go to another office?

You can claim every time you work from a different office. You claim the distance from your office to the other office (there and back obviously) Not from your home. hope this makes sense.
It should come through on a separate wage slip and should usually take about 5 days from when the manager puts it through

I told my manager how many miles I'd done once a month. I was doing around 100 miles every month going between 6 different offices. If it's just a one off for you tho I'd just tell your manager when you're next at your office. They should ask for your car reg and pay number.

I've got to work at a different DO for a week and have been told I have to be there for my start time of 0830, with morning traffic it will take 50 mins to get there and 30 to get home so am I right in thinking that as well as claiming mileage (my do to other do and back each day) that I can claim the travel time as well ?

If thats what they told you then I would say yes. If they refuse, then unless you are an Area Reserve you are entitled to start from your own office and your normal start time.

No not an area reserve, just happen to be spare at the moment. I have only travelled to another DO in my duty time before so travel time not been mentioned, I better check with the lino I suppose.
