Conflict of Interest?

I'm having my days reduced due to new working methods to a four day week, giving me every Wednesday & Thursday off. Obviously this will be hard on the wallet so will be looking for a part time job on either of those days to top my income up. I was trying to find out which jobs I can't do whilst still employed by RM that would be classed as a conflict of interest. Can't seem to find anything on the subject so was wondering if any of you guys do a similar thing?

It will be the usual, like TNT and Hermes etc. for the obvious.
Working for a third party leaflet distributor maybe.

Though your attendance patterns have/will change, your weekly hours should be the same.
Have they promised OT will be gone?
In my unit, most work their day off on OT, though it is obviously different around the country.

Was able to pick up an extra 20 hours overtime a week on a 25 hour contract over 5 days. Now will be on a 29:45 hours over 4 days, gaining 4:45 contracted hours but losing 15 plus hours with no overtime available. Could maybe do odd days on my day off but only if and when they need me and that would only be paid at normal rate until I hit 39 hours, so can't rely on that.

Looking for something outside RM every week to top my income up, but don't want to get unstuck doing something that RM wouldn't approve of! I'm not being greedy, just wanting to pay my bills.

Not entirely sure that would be a regular source of income, I've had all of them come to my door on a fairly regular basis over the years its always someone new and I've never ordered anything or looked at the brochure. I think the internets just about killed them off.

Window cleaning is an option just make sure you dont impose on anyones "turf".

Local free newspapers pay a better rate for adults than youngsters - usually delivered to you Wednesday for delivery Thursday onwards. used to be rounds approximately 250+ but seems they now prefer larger ones up to 1000+ so they have fewer drop offs. If you have space to prep the papers and any leaflets and a means of getting them to your start point then the delivery is a doddle - no addresses to read and your letter box experience helps. If you get a free paper delivered to you have a look on the situations page - they are usually looking for people to deliver and you may well know the areas they are looking to cover
