just a quick question, as a reserve on 30hrs when covering a larger duty say 35 hrs should I be paid for 35hrs straight off or am I only entitled to the hours I go over my 30hrs on a docket? I have hade different responses from other posties, can anybody give me a definitive answer?

You should get paid only for the hours that you work.

It does vary from office to office what people get, but you are only entitled to the 30 hours and anything over should be on docket unless you dom agrees otherwise but nothing to say he has to unfortunately

Wages department will have you on record at 30 hours anything over and above would have to be put on docket and paid in wages the following week they will not automatically pay you for 35 hours as they would have no record.

Book overtime to the same total hours of the postie your covering, if he gets paid it then so should you.
