Whats the stance on collecting Nectar points when filling up? A few co-workers have said its fine.. Just checking before I get myself into trouble lol

I would have thought not because your nectar points are gained with cash you've already paid tax on - the petrol on the other hand is bought with RMs cash and so the nectar points really belong to RM.

heres a little bit of info about it, they are a taxable income

Its also forbidden to receive them by royal mail as they are considered benefits in kind and is forbidden in the staff handbook

heres an extreme example of someone getting convicted of fraud for using her own nectar card to claim points when purchasing something for her company

AN education manager has been convicted of duping her two Hampshire colleges out of 1.7m supermarket reward points.

Alison Robinson was found guilty by jurors at Winchester Crown Court of two charges under the Fraud Act after scamming more than £8,000 of Nectar points.

The 46-year-old netted them by linking bulk catering contracts at two Hampshire colleges where she worked to her own personal card.

Robinson said the points were a “personal thank you” from suppliers for giving them contracts, but the jury did not agree.

This could be a method for RM to thin the workforce - there could be a whole wing at Wandsworth dedicated to RM staff, it could be called the Nectar Wing . If you've got a drawer full of nectar points my advice would be buy some soap on a rope before incarceration

I haven't cashed in my Nectar points in a long time but don't you have to spend £250 just to get £2.50 back?
