I am currently 3 months in on a 6 month fixed term contract and today I received a long term contract in the post but no one has mentioned that I was being made permanent. What I would like to know is will I get the extra 50p per hour now rather than after 6 months? and will I now go onto monthly Pay?

You will get a pay rise after six months and 12 months. If you don't steal anything or hit anybody they will keep you on, and after two years you will have to be offered a permanent contract.
