Stage one warning..and going for a operation

Can any of use Guys help with this one I am on a stage one and its runs till mid July....Was at the hospital early in the week and they say I need an operation ...I could be out of action from anything from 1 month to 3 months they told me..Will me being off trigger a automatic stage 2....thanks.

It will trigger a stage 2 review, so it might be worth getting the rep involved now and even getting information about the process and how it will help improve your attendance

You will certainly trigger a stage 2 for the period you are going to be absent after your operation however if the operation is a result of your medical condition that was responsible for your Stage 1 then a reasonable argument could be that your time off is on going from your first absence and you returned to work waiting for a date for your operation. Would hope that a reasonable manger would take a sympathetic approach at the stage 2 interview. Keep your rep fully updated on the situation.

I am sorry to say it's purely at the mangers discretion .this means if you have a Lino like ours who see's things in black or white then u r screwed..
As you we know most Linos are idiots with no man management skills whatsoever.

What an awful response to a question from a worried member. I am not having a go but if you do not understand legislation as to the equality Act etc, its best not to give advice, even if in support as you can do more harm than good

Hi I'm fighting one like this at the moment. Off 3 weeks last Aug.....chest infection. Lino knew about carpel tunnell surgery that took place 20 Nov. Lino told my 2 union reps there would be no stage 2....corrective surgery. Another lino took stage 2 interview then issued me with stage 2. I always took rep in with me to every meeting I had.Lino who said NO stage 2 could not tell me but said to reps he could tell them ??????? Fighting this one. Any advice
