I wish to know clearly the procedures of transferring from one office to the other within royal mail it seems now i have to apply for a transfer on line and compete with those searching for employment ,and i have received knowledge of vacancies being filled by part time staff in offices i wish to go to please help on this one

That is the official way, doing it online, however if u know which office u want to goto, u must either first phone the office or go visit the dom, but they MUST be looking for staff , if they aren't then I'm afraid u won't be going anywhere, speak to Dom, then he can contact ur Dom and try to get u in, hope this helps

Existing part time staff in the office you want to transfer to would have priority over your transfer in to that office

Just wondering.. if you move office do you keep seniority or do you have to start again from the bottom, reserve..floater etc ? I would imagine you get all the crappy jobs at first.
