Royal Mail is offering reassurance to customers in the worst affected areas as bad weather continues to blight the country.
A Royal Mail spokesman said: ‘We are doing all we can to support victims of the flooding that is affecting parts of the UK.
‘Royal Mail is holding mail for people whose homes are inaccessible, for collection at their convenience with proof of ID.
‘We will also be providing a free Redirection service for victims of the flooding who have had to move out of the area temporarily and therefore wish to have their mail delivered to an alternative address.’

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Seriously though......
With loads of sympathy for those affected by the floods, how are you guys in the flood affected areas operating?
Do you try and deliver on a daily basis or leave mail in the office if you know you can't get to where you need to be?
What about parcels and specials? Have we got delivery offices piling up with loads of mail? I saw a postie on a bike the other day looking cheerful enough riding through water axle deep but what about park and loop in flood hit areas?
And what about collections!
