Getting your hours increased

Right, I'm currently on 20 hours a week.
I'm on a floating duty with another lad who's been here longer than me, doing the same as him and he's on 25 hours a week.
So we do the same job yet he gets more at the end of the day.
Will my hours ever be increased and if not, is there any way I can go about getting them increased?

No we usually get finished before our time.

Not unless they actually do more than their contract on a regular basis, or by signing for another duty that has more hours.
