Are we still adopting job and finish because in our office a lot of guys are going home about 1 hr early after finishing their walk, the dom says nothing to them(mostly ft) yet he has a go at people for getting back late saying they are too slow and we should not be claiming ot he also has pt 22 hrs a week guys claiming ot every day for doing prepping d2ds for next day when they get back yet ft have gone home!!

Just use the advice constantly given on this site - write to Moya. Perhaps, she can justify why some are being paid 8 hours and yet do just 6.30 or less. Afterall, we all shareholders and partners with RM in a can-do-culture.

Not sure how any of those two are relevant.
We don't have a flexitime agreement nor do we have an agreement that says it's fine to go home early as long as you do an extra bit.

no they do not come in early well 10mins only and we all do absorption but when they finish at 1300 instead of 1408 they are allowed home yet pt who should finish at 1300 get bck late and claim xtra its going on for a long time it just does not make sense so i am persuming that u can go home when you are finished

Perhaps they finish early because they don't waste thier time watching what everyone else is doing?

What business is it of yours what time they finish? If they finish early or late you still get paid the same money. Do your job, work your hours and stop worrying about what everybody else does you'll be alot happier and alot less bitter!

When we were going through our revision, we had top management all clearly stating the days of early finishing were well and truly over and yet it continues.
And those finishing early just proves that the so called equally sized duty is actually stupidly under sized.

OK Pod as you are having difficulty understanding. If your work mates finish at 12 o'clock or 1 o'clock you personally still get paid the same do you not? Is that simple enough for you?

The walks aren't even this is true and they never will be as it is impossible to do. Some walks may get more mail, some take longer to walk with dead walking, etc. So what? You get paid to do your job. Do your job, go home.

You have 2 full timers. 1 full timer finishes up to 2 hours before there duty time and 1 finishes on time and yet both are supposed to be doing rounds of the same size ?
How is that fair ?
Why does 1 full timer work 39 hours and 1 full timer work 30 hours !!
Now either your office has not been through the revision or you missed ALL the meetings pre revision ?

You are missing the point. What the 'person' does or does not do next to you is not your concern. You are not paid to watch other people at work you are paid to do YOUR job not thiers and you do NOT pay thier wages. When you do, you get a say in what hours they work. Did they take a break? 40 mins for FT, so finish at 1300, no break say thats 1340 + 10 mins coming in early thats now 1350, so 18 mins short of contractual hours.


I'm not saying this is right but you need to fight yr own corner, I also suspect some people come in more than 10 mins early.
