Temp full time contract is being reverted to part time

Isnt there an agreemnent somewhere that you can stay on full time hours if you have been working them for over 12 months?Anyone have any advice ?

how long you been on temp contract before. what was the reason you was moved up to full time and why is it being reverted abck to your original hours? the aggreement says 2 years i think but since its not law royal mail arnt making anyone perm full time because of the mail centre closures.

I was moved up to full time from 32.5 hrs nearly 13 months ago,now they say they have to take hours out of the office

Happened in my office. Two guys were on full 39 hours for 6 months but have been reduced. I don't think there is much you can do other than book ext if the rounds not prepped.

Are you covering a 39 hour duty on a permanent basis?

Have you had your delivery methods revision?

Have you done your Post implementation review?

Why do the "have to take hours out of the office"?

Where's your rep, and why isn't he putting a stop to this?



Day one of the new agreement and RM are looking to cut hours out of offices, hardly the start the union envisioned is it?

Thanks for those repys....i must be mistaken,i though id read somewhere about a recent agreement that stated a 12 month ruling.....yes im covering a full time duty on a permanent basis,and we are up to date on our revision

I had the same made full time gt three contracts through two stating permanent move to full time and one saying temporary move to full time.Hence i signed the permanent one and have kept a copy.Lets see if they try it on with me.
